We use information about our customers, their packages, and their shipping activity to provide or enhance the services we make available to our customers, to enhance our ability to communicate with our customers about additional services they may find of value, to satisfy our legitimate business interests (including performing trend analysis and market studies), to set prices, establish credit, fulfill a Contract of Carriage or Service Agreement, accomplish the billing function, and to comply with government regulations. Although government regulations vary in the many countries in which we operate, they frequently include the reporting of information to transportation safety, customs, and other regulatory agencies.

As we collect and use information about our customers, we may contract with vendors to assist us in processing that information. These vendors are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information and are restricted from using the information for any purpose other than helping to provide Turkiship services to our customers.

Some of the information collected by Turkiship is personal data or data which relates to an identifiable person. Examples of personal data are names, addresses, e-mail addresses, credit card numbers and telephone numbers. We never sell information to third parties that could be used to specifically identify an individual customer or group of customers. Anonymized data, with all names, addresses and other personally identifiable information removed, is sometimes shared with third parties. Finally, we do provide personal data to government agencies as required by law or regulation.

In addition to the uses of the information described in the paragraphs above, we collect telephone numbers and e-mail addresses in the event that we have to contact the account owner, or the shipment recipient, to resolve a question or provide shipment status information.

Retention of Customer Information

We retain information about customers as necessary for business purposes and as required by government regulation. For example, we retain information about packages, including names and addresses, so that we can provide proof of delivery information and to process claim requests. We carefully dispose of records and delete information when retention periods expire.

Users can visit most areas of the Website without revealing who they are or providing any information about themselves. However, some of our services require that users identify themselves in order to enable the function.

Our information practices are subject to Turkiship’s Privacy Policy. The information you submit when opening a Turkiship account and when you transact business via the Turkiship website may be transferred to, stored in and/or processed in Turkey, in the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, or any other country when such transfer, storage and/or processing are necessary to provide Turkiship services to you. By opening a Turkiship account, you consent to the transfer, storage and/or processing of that information in such countries. If you object to your information being transferred, stored or processed in this manner, or if you object to the use of cookies or to our Privacy Policy, we kindly ask you to not use our services.

We treat our data as assets that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ information security techniques to appropriately protect confidential information from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. Billing Terms and Refund Policy

Turkiship services can be classified in three groups namely a) Subscription based membership services, b) Shipping, repacking, and storage services, and c) Shopping assistance (Order Now) and other misc. value added services.

For terms of billing and our refund policy regarding each of these group of services, please read below.

Subscription based membership services

Turkiship offers exclusive service offering and cost benefits to customers who opt-in for certain pre-defined paid subscription programs (“Premium Membership”). Turkiship may offer Premium Membership with month-to-month, quarterly, annual or any other pre-defined terms which have different pre-set costs that have to be paid at the beginning of the subscription.

If the customer is unsatisfied with the Premium Membership, or for any other reason, wish to cancel your subscription; the customer can do so within the 7 days of subscription date and get a 100% refund for the membership fees the customer has paid. After 7 days of subscription date, the customer is eligible to receive a refund which is calculated on a pro-rated basis. Under no circumstances shall refunds exceed the paid membership fees due to reasons including but not limited to any damages or additional costs incur due to Premium Membership.

If the customer has an automatic renewal for the subscription and want to cancel the membership and/or the automatic renewal setting; same terms apply.

All the refunds that Turkiship issue are automatically applied to customer’s account as an “Account Credit”. Customer may request a cash refund or a transaction reversal but if the refund transacion involves any financial fees such as transfer fees, penalties, exchange rate fees etc. Turkiship incurs such costs to the customer.

Shipping, repacking, and storage services

Turkiship offers warehouse storage and processing services and shipping services. These services are billed as soon as the request is made by the customer, or if automatic processing is selected; at or before the time of processing.

Our warehouse processing and shipping services are offered “As Is”. Unfortunately we do not offer any refunds for the services we provide.

Turkiship is a virtual mailbox and shipping service so please bear in mind that you should direct your return and refund inquiries for the merchandise you purchased to the online merchant you actually made the purchase. Turkiship does not accept any claims regarding the merchandise you have purchased such as unwanted products, wrong color, wrong size etc.

Shopping assistance (Order Now) and other misc. value added services

Once the customer completes the order for a value added service such as Shopping Assistance, Turkiship bills the customer for the required amount and then completes the transaction.

The customer can cancel the order before the processing / fulfillment begins and get 100% refund. Once the processing begins, the order cannot be cancelled or even if it is stopped the customer is not eligible for any refunds.

All the refunds that Turkiship issue are automatically applied to customer’s account as an “Account Credit”. Shipping Terms

You acknowledge and agree that domestic and international carriage by Turkiship of any shipments tendered to Turkiship through the Website will be governed by the terms, conditions and limitations of liability set out in the applicable terms and conditions, which are incorporated into these Terms and Conditions by reference.

Receiving Service

We will in good faith receive packages delivered to your Turkiship address. We will notify you when they are received, advise you of the actual cost of duties, taxes and international shipping/handling, and seek your instructions for shipping or storage of the packages. We will not accept parcels or packages delivered on a COD (Cash On Delivery) basis. You are the only person authorised to pay for and release the shipment, including releasing any packages addressed to your friends or family members. The delivery address must be in the same country as the country where you are located; you cannot ship packages to individuals in any other country. Also, the payment must be via a card or payment method issued in the same country where you are located.

Loss or Damage of Products

Turkiship will not be liable for products lost or damaged in transit from the merchant to any of the Turkiship facilities. We reserve the right to refuse delivery if, upon inspection of the outside of the package, it is obvious that the product is damaged or incomplete. In such a case, we will return the product to the sender and will notify you.

Inspection of Packages

Turkiship has the right (upon receipt, during storage, or in preparing for export shipment) to open and inspect any package, or part thereof, for security purposes and to verify compliance with export and import laws and to confirm the product description and other information you supply, without prior notice and without liability to you. However we have no duty or responsibility to inspect packages for non-obvious damage or breakage, and we do not accept responsibility for the accuracy of product descriptions and other information provided by you.

If we discover that the description of the contents of the package or other information you supply is not accurate, then, depending on the specific situation, we may request you to provide additional documentation about the contents and/or their value, or we may refuse to ship it (you will be notified),or we may correct the information.

No Mail Accepted

Turkiship will only process packages and envelopes containing items you have purchased. We are not a mail forwarding agency, and we do not and cannot ship documents or other mail to you. Any mail or packages addressed to you that do not contain items of value will be destroyed. You may not use your Turkiship address for any purpose other than receiving packages containing products you have ordered from merchants. Using your Turkiship address as a contact address for any entity or establishment will be evaluated as an infringement of the Terms of Service.

Unidentified Recipients

Occasionally we receive packages where the appropriate recipient cannot be identified, e.g., the customer name and/or the suite address may be missing or mis-stated. If you have ordered a product and there is an unusual delay in receiving notification from Turkiship that there is a package waiting for you, you should contact Customer Service and describe the product you are expecting so that we can inspect unidentified packages and see if yours is there.

Additional handling fees in identifying the recipient may apply if your package was incorrectly or inadequately addressed.

Any goods received at our facility for which an owner cannot be determined (after we have made reasonable investigative efforts) will be held for 90 days. If they remain unclaimed after 90 days, Turkiship will have the right to dispose of them in any manner permitted under applicable law.

Terms of Carriage

When you request packages to be shipped, and you have paid the total cost specified on the Website form, any country-specific customs or import fees, and any applicable handling charges and storage costs (which may differ from the estimate given using the Shipping Cost Calculator); Turkiship will arrange international shipment to any country listed as a servicable country on our website and deliver the packages to the delivery address you specify.

Turkiship can combine, merge, split, and under certain circumstances change the packaging of your merchandise based on country specific regulations, airline safety issues or any kind of convenience for international shipping. Therefore, you consent Turkiship to make the necessary packing arrangements for your parcels, in order to optimize their delivery to your international address.

Turkiship may pre-calculate and charge you for the customs and duty charges only for destination countries that our system has a dedicated EDI (electronic data interchange) integration. For all other destination countries, you may be charged for the relevant customs and duty charges by the local authorities or local delivery company.

You appoint Turkiship to act as your agent to manage all export, import and customs clearance procedures and to ensure that customs duties and taxes are paid to the relevant customs and tax authorities. Turkiship will perform these functions based on the information you provide and, accordingly, Turkiship will not be responsible or liable for any additional duties or taxes that are assessed if the information you provide to us is inaccurate or incorrect.

An accurate description of the contents of your package, and its value, is necessary for compliance with export and import laws. To help reduce the incidence of errors, we will frequently request a copy of the merchant’s invoice or order confirmation establishing the price paid for your goods. However, you are solely responsible for the correctness and accuracy of all information you provide to Turkiship regarding the contents of your package and the value. You agree to indemnify and hold Turkiship harmless from any liability for any under-declaration of value or other misrepresentations you might make. You acknowledge that:

a) Packages may be inspected at any time by export and import authorities. Packages with misleading product descriptions or under-declared valuations may be delayed by the relevant Customs authorities, who may dispute and correct the declaration – in which case, you might possibly have to pay additional duty, fines or penalties.

b) Assuming you have provided accurate information for the customs declaration and Customs does not dispute the value, the amount of tax and duty actually charged by your country’s Customs authority may differ from the amount you paid us. Here’s why:

– Tax and duty are based on the “dutiable value” of the goods. We calculate the tax and duty as accurately as we can, after your package is inspected, weighed and measured, and ready for dispatch at our export facility. Either you pay us those calculated amounts of tax and duty, along with our shipping charge, when you release your shipment, or you pay tax and duty upon delivery. Your Turkiship invoice includes a breakdown of the shipping charge, (and according to your preference) tax, and duty.

– If you prefer Turkiship to pay duty and tax, we arrange payment of the duty and tax to local Customs authorities on your behalf. The actual tax and duty paid sometimes turns out to be higher or lower than the amount we calculated, for a number of reasons. For example, the Customs authority in your country may assign your goods a different customs code from the one we used; or Customs may (for whatever reason) use a different formula to calculate the duty; or the calculation may be affected by a change in currency exchange rates between the time of our calculation and the time the tax and duty is paid to Customs authorities. In such situations, you will not receive a refund or be charged extra for the difference; this is due to the administrative time and costs that such arrangements would require.

International shipping and handling charges generated by our Shipping Cost Calculator are estimates only. The Shipping Cost Calculator’s estimate may differ from the final shipping charges which can only be determined once we have received the package at your Turkiship address.

You are responsible for payment of all actual international shipping and handling charges, even if they differ from the original estimated cost.

Volumetric weight may apply on bulky, lightweight packages. Volumetric weight is calculated by multiplying height by width and length in centimeters and dividing by the current divider ratio stated on the shipping page.

Unaccepted Items

You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in effect in the country from which the goods are shipped, and in the country in which the goods are received. You will not use or attempt to use Turkiship to receive or send illegal, hazardous or dangerous materials, prohibited goods, or controlled substances. Goods are unacceptable for shipment if:

– They are in Turkiship’s list of Prohibited Items on the Frequently Asked Questions section;

– The goods are classified as hazardous material, dangerous goods, or articles prohibited or restricted by IATA (International Air Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation), export control laws and regulations, import or customs regulations, or any of the laws or regulations of any applicable government department or other relevant organization; or

– We decide that we cannot transport an item safely or legally (such items include but are not limited to: animals, currency, bearer-form negotiable instruments, precious metals and stones, firearms, parts thereof and ammunition, pornography and illegal narcotics/drugs).
