What is Turkiship?

Turkiship is an online shopping and package forwarding service that helps you buy products from Turkey and have them shipped to your doorstep worldwide. We can manage the entire process for you, from purchasing and forwarding your packages to delivering them safely.

What can I buy from Turkey?

Turkish products are known for their quality and affordable prices. You can purchase a wide range of high-quality products from well-known Turkish brands, including clothing, footwear, small electronics, household textiles, and more.

How can I know the weight of my product?

For products purchased from Amazon, weight and dimensions details are usually provided on Amazon product page. For other online stores, you can contact the seller to get an estimation. You can also use the visual on our Shipping Calculator page to estimate the shipping weight. Once we receive your packages, we weigh and measure them. We can also do the same for your products upon request.

What are Actual and Dimensional Weight? How shipping weight is calculated?

Actual Weight is the real weight of a package measured on a scale. Dimensional Weight (Volumetric Weight) is a calculated weight based on the package's volume (length × width × height) divided by 5000 (if measured in cm) or by 166 (if measured in inches). It reflects how much space a package occupies in a shipping vehicle. Carriers charge based on the higher of the two because space is limited. A large but lightweight package takes up valuable space, so billing by dimensional weight ensures fair pricing for all shipments. On the other hand, some carriers charge only based on actual weight. Turkiship calculates shipping weight according to the carrier's preferences.

Will I need to pay customs tax on my purchases?

Each country has different customs tax procedures. Some countries exempt shipments below a certain value from taxes, while others apply taxes regardless of the shipment value. For instance, in the European Union, shipments valued below or at 150 EUR are exempt from duty, but VAT is always charged, regardless of the value. For goods valued over 150 EUR, both duty and VAT apply. The de minimis rules vary significantly between countries. For example, the United States has a generous de minimis threshold of 800 USD, allowing duty-free and tax-free imports below this value. In contrast, Australia has a threshold of 1,000 AUD, and the threshold for New Zealand is 1000 NZD. Russia combines a monetary threshold of 200 EUR with a weight limit of 31 kilos, requiring a customs broker for shipments that exceed these limits. For the UAE, a 5% VAT is applied to every shipment, and if the shipment value exceeds 300 AED, customs duties are also charged. In Saudi Arabia, a 15% VAT is applied, with additional customs duties for shipments over 1,000 SAR. Since these regulations can change, it is recommended to check the latest information on your country's customs authority website or contact them directly.

Is it safe to use my credit/debit card on Turkiship?

Yes, turkiship.com uses SSL encryption technology to ensure your credit/debit card transactions are secure. We also require 3D Secure verification. Please ensure your credit/debit card supports 3D Secure by contacting your bank to activate this service if needed. This step helps prevent payment issues during checkout.

What is the return policy?

You can return any product as long as the seller's return policy allows it, and the product is within the return window, and is in Turkiship warehouse. This is also valid for the products that are bought by using Purchase Assistant service. In case you want to return an item bought via Purchase Assistant service, the refund will be for the item price plus service fee minus any restocking fees charged by the seller. In case the seller does not provide a prepaid return label, customer will be responsible for return shipping fee. If the courier company does not come to pick up the return package from Turkiship, we need to drop off the package to courier company’s branch. In this case, an additional service fee will be charged.

How can I return my product?

Simply you can click Return on your dashboard and select the package for return. If a package includes also other products, first you must split your package, then create a return request with the new package. Please note that each return request should include the specific items you are returning and the corresponding prepaid return label provided by the seller or website. To ensure a smooth return process for products purchased from various sellers, please follow these guidelines: If you need to return multiple items from different sellers or orders, you must create separate return requests for each seller. It is important not to combine items from different sellers into a single return request. Each return request should only contain the items and prepaid return label for the specific seller to avoid any processing errors or delays. By adhering to this procedure, you help ensure that your returns are handled correctly and efficiently. If you have any questions or need assistance with the return process, our customer support team is always available to help.

What should I do if my package arrives damaged in Turkey?

If a damaged package is delivered to us, we will notify you and will not open it without your consent. In some cases, the contents might be intact despite the damaged packaging. Therefore, we generally recommend opening the package and returning any damaged items if they exist.

What items are prohibited from being shipped?

While prohibited items can vary by country, we cannot ship the following items internationally under any circumstances. (The following list provides general information, and some items not listed here may also be prohibited for shipping). - Hazardous materials (e.g., matches, chemicals, explosives) - Weapons, parts, ammunition, knives, and scopes - Replica items - Batteries (excluding those inside mobile phones or laptops) - Fresh food and other perishables - Plants and fresh flowers - Coffee and alcohol (e.g., beer, wine, liquor) - Frozen items - Combustible/flammable materials (e.g., paints, oils, nail polish, perfumes, fragrances, hairspray, lighters, and other flammable products) - Pressurized alcohol and sprays - Animals - Bullion - Currency - Gambling devices - Ivory - Drugs/narcotics - Tobacco - Human remains - Pornography - Collectibles/antiques/rare items - Seeds - Vape/electronic cigarettes - Metal detectors - Sex toys - Prescription medicines - Jewelry (Under some conditions, they can be shipped) Before shipping any items, please ensure they are permitted in your destination country. You may also check the websites of DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT, and Aramex, or consult with your local customs office. Turkiship will not be responsible for items that are delayed, confiscated, or incur excessive duties due to customs regulations or difficulties. In the event of a return shipment for such a reason, the return shipping cost will be charged to the customer's account.

Can I make large-scale purchases from Turkey?

Yes, Turkiship can assist with large-scale shopping. Please contact our customer representatives before sending large packages to ensure proper handling and referrals.

Do you offer repackaging or combining packages to reduce shipping costs?

Yes, you can have your packages repacked or combined before shipping, as well as during the shipping process.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes, you can track your shipment on your dashboard.

Can I store my packages for later shipment?

We offer free storage for 30 days (Basic members) or 45 days (Premium members). For packages stored beyond this period, a fee of $1 per 1 kg applies, with a maximum storage duration of 90 days. After 90 days, packages will be discarded.

What if I cannot use my credit card?

If your credit card is not accepted due to address mismatch or other issues, you can change the billing address to match the address we provide. If payment issues persist, you can use Purchase Assistant service, and we can purchase the products on your behalf. However, Turkiship reserves the right to decline Purchase Assistant requests if we deem the website to be unreliable or insecure for any reason.

My order was cancelled by the shopping site. What should I do?

Ensure you use the correct billing and shipping addresses when shopping. If your order is cancelled, check your email for any communication from the website or your bank for approval. For a smoother process, you may think to use Turkiship Purchase Assistant service.

How should I prepare my credit/debit card for 3D Secure verification?

Many Turkish online stores, including ours, require 3D Secure verification. You can activate the 3D Secure service on your card by contacting your bank. 3D Secure helps prevent payment issues during checkout.
